After the storm
What to do in the first 72 hours
Start inside. Look for fresh ceiling stains, damp insulation in the attic, and water around light fixtures. Outside, look for shingle pieces in the yard, dents in gutters, downspouts and soft metal like vent caps, and granules washed into the gutter troughs. Photograph everything with the date.
Then get a documented roof inspection before you call your carrier. Knowing whether the damage is real and how widespread it is puts you in a far better position than filing blind. And if there is no meaningful damage, you have avoided an unnecessary claim on your record.
We do not promise claim outcomes. What we do is document the roof thoroughly, explain what we found in writing, meet your adjuster on site if you want us there, and repair or replace the roof properly once coverage is settled.
