Insurance Claims
Insurance claim support from a contractor who documents everything
We photograph the damage, meet your adjuster on the roof, and review the scope so nothing gets missed. Coverage decisions belong to your carrier. Our job is accurate information.
- Free documented damage inspection
- Adjuster meetings on site
- Scope and line-item review
- Repairs built to the approved scope
- Written workmanship guarantee
- Manufacturer-specified installation
- Licensed & insured in Alabama
How it works
What a roofing contractor can and cannot do
We can inspect your roof, document damage with dated photographs, explain what we found in writing, be present when your adjuster inspects, review the adjuster's scope against what is actually on your roof, and point out items that appear to be missing. Then we build the roof to the approved scope.
We cannot negotiate your claim on your behalf, interpret your policy for you, or promise a result. In Alabama, representing a policyholder in claim negotiation is the role of a licensed public adjuster, not a roofing contractor. If your claim needs that kind of advocacy, we will tell you.
We also will not waive, absorb or discount your deductible. That is your responsibility under your policy, and any contractor offering otherwise is putting you both at risk.

What we do
Where we help
Documented inspection
Every slope photographed with dated images of impact indicators, soft-metal damage, and interior effects.
Claim filing guidance
Plain-language help understanding what information your carrier will ask for before you call them.
Adjuster meetings
We can be on the roof with your adjuster so findings are reviewed together rather than disputed later.
Scope review
We compare the adjuster's line items to the actual roof and flag components that appear to be omitted.
Supplement documentation
When we uncover damage after tear-off, we photograph and document it for your carrier's review.
Build to scope
The approved work is installed to manufacturer specification with our written workmanship guarantee.

Important
Our role, stated plainly
Being clear about this protects you.
- Cooper Building & Roofing is a licensed roofing contractor, not a public adjuster or an insurance agency.
- We do not negotiate claims on your behalf or interpret your policy language.
- We make no representation that any claim will be approved, or approved at a particular amount.
- Deductibles are the policyholder's responsibility and are never waived or absorbed.
Documentation
How we document damage for your file
Impact marks chalked and photographed slope by slope, so what we found is easy to review on site.

Our process
The claim process end to end
- 01
Free inspection
We determine whether real, documentable damage exists before you open a claim.
- 02
You file
You contact your carrier and file. We hand you the documentation to support the conversation.
- 03
Adjuster visit
We meet the adjuster on site and review the roof together, findings in hand.
- 04
Approved work
Once the scope is settled, we schedule and build the roof, then register your warranties.
Why Cooper
Why documentation matters
Facts, not opinions
Dated photographs of specific damage give the claim conversation something concrete to reference.
Nothing hidden after tear-off
Damage discovered under the shingles is photographed and submitted rather than quietly absorbed.
A local company on record
We are here after the claim closes, which matters when a warranty question comes up later.
