What we check

A full pass, not a glance from the driveway

Grouped the way we work the roof: the surface first, then the transitions where water actually gets in, then the edges, and the airflow underneath.

You get the photos either way. If the roof is fine, we say so. A free inspection is not a sales appointment in disguise.

Surface

  • Shingle condition and granule loss
  • Exposed mat or brittle shingles
  • Wind and hail impact indicators
  • Ridge and hip cap condition

Transitions

  • Valley condition and debris
  • Pipe boots, vents, and penetrations
  • Step, counter, and apron flashing
  • Chimney crown, saddle, and flashing
  • Skylight curbs and seals

Edges & airflow

  • Drip edge, eaves, and rake edges
  • Gutter attachment and roof-edge drainage
  • Attic intake and exhaust balance
  • Attic decking for moisture staining, where accessible

Drone imaging

Seeing the roof without walking every inch of it

Aerial imagery is a tool, not a gimmick. It keeps people off fragile surfaces and gives you frames you can actually read.

  1. Every slope, including the ones nobody walksSteep pitches, tall two-stories, tile, and metal surfaces get photographed from above instead of stepped on.
  2. Straight-down detail on valleys and penetrationsOverhead frames show debris packing, valley wear, and boot condition clearly enough to explain without jargon.
  3. Consistent framing for comparisonThe same angles year over year make it obvious what changed after a storm season.
  4. Still hands-on where it countsWhere the roof can be walked safely, we walk it and check the attic side when it is accessible.
